Countries you can visit without a visa as a German

Being a German citizen comes with a lot of perks when it comes to traveling. The citizens of European Union countries are exempt from getting a consular visa in many instances, which is excellent news for you. Instead of going to the embassy of the country you wish to visit to get your travel document, you can apply online. Not only will that spare you a lot of energy, but a lot of time too. Below, you will find a list of the countries you can visit without a visa as a German passport holder.

India

Who wouldn’t like to visit India at least once in their lifetime? India is an incredibly spiritual country where you can visit a lot of temples and attend many religious festivals. Even if you are not a religious person, surely you can enjoy the rituals and traditions of Indian people. The Taj Mahal is on many people’s bucket list, and it is, indeed, an incredible structure. The people are friendly, the food is good, and you have a lot to see. Plus, German citizens can acquire an electronic visa that allows them to stay in India for up to 90 days. You have more than enough time to admire everything the country has to offer.

Kenya

African countries have a particular charm that you cannot find on any other continent. Of course, you can go on safari and enjoy the wildlife. You will have a wonderful time. The country may not have impressive cuisine, but the scenery is mesmerizing, and the people are very welcoming. Of course, you will be most impressed by all the animals, but the sights cannot be overlooked. And, as you can imagine, all you need is an e-visa. It allows you to stay there for up to 90 days as a tourist.

Australia

Australia is a welcoming country, and, against popular belief, not everything is trying to kill you. The country is pretty safe, even if you have to check your shoes for scorpions from time to time. You can take a day trip and have some fun watching kangaroos, while we do not recommend getting to close. They can become pretty vicious creatures if disturbed. A kangaroo can be cute, but it can be a killer too. As a German citizen, you can travel to Australia with an electronic visa. You can choose from an Electronic Travel Authorization or an eVisitor, whichever you find more convenient. All you need to get one is a valid passport.

United States

Visiting the States is something that many of us foreigners want to do, but did you know that German citizens only need an ESTA to cross the border? With an ESTA, you can stay there for up to 90 days. You have enough time to see the Rocky Mountains, the Big Apple, and of course, let’s not forget that California is the dreamland. Needless to say, the United States has a lot to offer travel-wise, and you can go there without going to the nearest US embassy.

Azerbaijan

Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, is also known as the small Dubai. It is a vibrant city where you can have a lot of fun and experiences. You will really enjoy yourself there. Plus, you only need an electronic visa to enter the country. You can stay there for up to 30 days, but only for tourism purposes.

Cambodia

Last but definitely not least, the wonders of Cambodia started to get more and more popularity in recent years. Tourism has really boomed, and as a result, the electronic visa was adopted by the country’s government. Now, you can visit the temple of Angor Wat using just an electronic visa that you can get online. It will allow you to stay in Cambodia for 30 days, which is more than enough to see everything you are interested in visiting.

The list can continue, but we will stop here for now. Hopefully, you will visit some if not all the countries above and enjoy everything they have to offer. Fortunately for you, you can do all that without the stress of undergoing a visa application process at an embassy.
